JOBS

Pizza Capers stores are popping up all over the place. We checked our diary yesterday and noticed we’ve got 14 stores being built now... WOW!

This means that we’re always on the lookout for new, talented and courageous people, to help us in the good fight and win the war against dodgy pizza.

We love promoting from within, and rewarding hard work and dedication. For example, a former delivery driver now owns 3 of his own Capers franchises, a former kitchen hand has worked his way through to Operations Manager, and we’ve for plenty of former Store Managers as Area Managers, Field Trainers and the like. So there is definitely plenty of scope for moving upwards and developing your career and skills through the best pizza place in town.

We’ve got position available to enable you to enter the family at many different levels, if you’re the right person, with the right attitude.

STORE MANAGERS

As a Capers store manager you’ll be responsible for the day to day operation of the store. From managing and handling food prep, through to making pizzas, serving guests, and answering phones and cleaning up. Our managers do not sit in an office. They are on the floor actively delighting the guests, and developing the team. Some days you’ll find our Marketing Manager, or even our CEO out washing pots and serving customers, that’s the kind of place we are... there is no task that needs doing which we won’t do, and we expect the same from the Store Managers. Some previous supervisory experience in busy food environments is an advantage, though if you’re an ex pizza person, you may just have to forget a lot of what you’ve learned! You will also need your own reliable transport.

ASSISTANT MANAGERS

Assistant Managers assist the Store Manager (funny that). You’ll be running shifts on the Manager’s days off, and be covering tasks such as food prep, cleaning, guest service, pizza making and managing the team. Previous experience is not essential, but the right attitude is. You’ll need your own reliable transport to and from work.

PIZZA CHAUFFEURS

Most pizza places have drivers. Our pizzas are a little too special for that, so we need chauffeurs to deliver them. In most cases you will need your own vehicle, although we pay the best rates and fuel allowances in the business. Our drivers work from around 5:30pm through till around 9:30 or 10pm at the latest do there’s plenty of time for socialising after work. You can negotiate the shifts you work with your manager, so its nice and flexible.

SERVICE STAFF

Service staff predominantly staff the front of the store, answering phones, serving guests at the counter and keeping the front line crisp clean and inviting. Though you will have some duties out the back, like cleaning up, stocking fridges and the like. If you’re keen, and if you’ve got the gift, we’ll even cross train you into pizza making, cutting and garnishing. Previous experience is not necessary, as we can teach you what you need to know, through a smile and the ability to talk to the guest about more than the weather and absolute necessities. Most of these shifts are night time based, with shifts starting and finishing anywhere from 5pm to around 10pm. You’ll need your own transport to and from work. The number of shifts you work each week can be negotiated with your manager, though we prefer you to be available 3 – 5 shifts per week, including at least 1 of either Friday or Saturday night, which is when it all happens.

KITCHEN PEOPLE

Do you love cooking? Are you a foodie? Then this is the job for you. Kitchen people can specialise in areas such as pizza making, pasta and salad making, preparing ingredients, and cleaning up, We’ll also coach you out the front as well so you’ll be able to answer a phone serve a guest and use the computer system. Again, most of these shifts are night based, with starting and finishing times mostly between 5 & 10pm. The number of shifts you work is flexible and up for negotiation with your manager, though we prefer you to be available 3 – 5 shifts per week, including at least 1 of eath Friday or Saturday night, which is when we need the best of the best on deck.

HIGHER MANAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

There are also opportunities at higher levels. Most of the team in these positions have come through the ranks at the stores, though if you’re the right person, with a great set of skills and previous experience, we’d love to talk to you. We’ve got roles such as:

  • Field Trainers & Store Openers
  • Franchise Business Development Managers
  • Corporate Store Area Managers

So if you’re dull boring, arrogant, lazy or not interested in amazing pizza or bedazzling our guests with fantastic service, then please apply at the place down the road.

If you are serious about making guests happy, if you know your anchovies from your artichokes, if you’re a team player who loves it when the pressures on, then take the first step by clicking here and filling our the form.
